ACTS is turning 20!

This year A.J. and Susan Bennett celebrate their 20th year serving St. Louis area college students.

In January of 1997, the Association of Christian Truth Seekers (ACTS) became an official student group at Washington University in St. Louis, and the ministry was born.   Since then, A.J. and Susan have been fully committed to serving college students – helping them to know Christ and to make Christ known.  During the 20 years that have passed A.J. and Susan have moved homes once, and built an addition onto their home that would allow them the space to host the 20-40+ students that meet each Friday.  As a result they’ve hosted over 20,000 visitors in their home through ACTS!  They have also facilitated countless group Bible studies and on-on-one meetings with students over the years.

In addition to their time in St. Louis mentoring and serving college students, A.J. and Susan have also organized, recruited, and led mission trips to Panama, Appalachia, and various storm locations harmed by floods and tornadoes.  They have also taken students to various events that provide days of focused study and worship such as the Passion conferences, and helped the students serve the local community through “Do Something Now” events.

During their 20 years of ministry the Bennetts have raised two children, Sierra and Lucas, who are now attending Abilene Christian University (ACU).
