New to ACTS?

We are ACTS, the Association of Christian Truth Seekers, and we have two main goals. The first is to encourage and help Christian students to grow in their faith by seeking a deeper understanding of truth and service to others. The second goal is to help encourage students to reach out to those who are not Christians by providing open discussion groups and opportunity to develop deep friendships for people of all backgrounds and beliefs. So, what does this involve?

Fridays: You just have to come to a Friday to really understand the whole experience so give it a try at least once! We go to the house of our awesome campus minister, A.J. Bennett, for a free, delicious, home-cooked meal. A testimonial, Bible study, or group discussion usually follows. You’ll be back on campus before 9pm or if you want, stick around for hanging out, fun or service activities!
Needing a ride? Meet at 6:15 at the Washington University DUC entrance closest to Forsyth Blvd (look for a white van and/or a group of awesome people standing around). If you are coming from SLU, UMSL or others, hop on the Metrolink Train. Go to the Delmar Loop Metro. Station and you are close. Just text A.J. ahead of time at 314-614-6317, a lot of times you can catch a ride with others from your school or area you live or A.J. will tell you how to get to the pickup spot. If you have transporation just google map it and head to the house around 6:30pm- 1214 Kortwright Avenue, Rock Hill, MO 63119.

CORE or Mentor Groups: Smaller groups of students form these weekly Bible studies, the times and dates of which will be determined as the school year starts. Make sure to talk to someone from ACTS about Core groups they are really more than just Bible studies and are “Core” to many of the close friendships and spiritual growth.

Do Something Now: Service projects, some planned, some more spontaneous, like Panama and Uganda mission trips, Spring Break trip to Arkansas Childrens Home, sex traficking awareness and raking leaves. Learn more by coming to Fridays or checking the calendar! Everyone at ACTS would love to have you at any or all of these events! For any questions about anything at all, please do not hesitate to contact Alison at alisonlindsay@wustl.edu or A.J. at actsaj@gmail.com.
